Help with wirless prining.

desktop not connectiong to workgroupd and laptop cannot recognize my desktop so it;s wose than square 1!!

Hmm, it shouldnt be worse.

I always find staticly assigning IP addresses helps as well, but for the moment lets see if we can get it working without.

Are all the systems the same, all services started and all firewalls set to allow the File sharing services?

No problem.

Windows networking in a small workgroup is a pain! Keep at it, it will work... just takes time to find a culprit and plus, because your using no server it takes time for the changes to be accepted, I've sometimes found rebooting the whole network and then leaving it for a few mins works.

I will change to static IP's. Then will hunt down why the workgrup pc's cannot see eachother. Thanks. anyway.

Don't know wether any help but IP are 192.168.2.1 router) 192.168.2.2 desktop) and 192.168.2.3 laptop. any idea why they are not seeing each other. really hacking me off.

if you mean they are not showing up in network places have you tried \\192.168.2.2 in address bar?

Usually when PC's are browsable is security software or the services not stated, most ussually Firewalls such as Windows firewall blocks it.
