uninstall network interfaces and install again. you must have a big house if you need 30 meters + if you are using wireless from that distance then that may be your problem

with wireless you can have the laptop wireless and the desktop wired.

Just connect the wire of PC cable of network.
Its so cheap, enjoy the network.

Have it a well.
