router problems?

Hi there everyone,
I need help with my internet connection, and I would be very greatful if someone could help me as I am rather clueless with these things.

The problem is that my router keeps on flashing and so I have no internet connection. This usually happens after a powercut, but lately it just starts flashing all the time. If I turn the router off for a few hours and then back on, then sometimes it will stop flashing and is working as normal. Can anyone help me with this, as it is really annoying me now.
