Certain browsers cause pc to freeze?

Hey, this has been happening for a while, but now it's really started to bug me. I'd been using chrome for ages, then every now and again the computer would stop responding unless i closed it. I could often deal with this as i would just close it, do what i needed to do and reopen the tabs. However, then it became more frequent until now, which is more than 50% of the time (regardless of how long it has been running). It is also the same issue with Opera and Internet Explorer. Firefox is the only one still fully operational for me at the moment.

Any ideas??


I don't think it's my system, but just in case the basics are:

Processor: Quad Core 2.67 GHz
RAM: 4.00 GB
GFX: 1GB ATI Radeon HD 4870 DDR5
