Lost Network Adapter
Please help!
I have somehow managed to remove the network adapter from my PC. I updated my PC to Internet Explore 8 and uninstalled some unused programs which were taking up memory space. After this I could not connect to the internet. My network connection is only showing dial up and I have lost the LAN. Under Device Manager I am not showing any Network adapters. It only says Ethernet Controller with a question mark and exclamation mark. I have clicked this and tried to re-install but it is not working. I have been told to download a driver and re-install but I really don't know what I am looking for or which driver to select. My PC is a Dell Optiplex 320 and I am running Windows XP. Unfortunatly I do not have any disks that came with the PC as I bought it second hand. Does anyone have any advice on how I can fix this as I am lost without my broadband. Thank You |
