The Sims 2 and a New Computer Questions...?
Okay i am buying a new computer... I have a mac notebook right now and i wanted a PC also but a desktop. I decided on getting a Alienware Area-51 Here is everything in it... -Processor Intel® Core™ 2 Duo E8500 3.16GHz 6MB Cache 1333MHz FSB -Cooling system Alienware® High-Performance Liquid Cooling -Graphics Processors Single 1GB NVIDIA® GeForce® 9800 GX2 -Memory 4GB Dual Channel DDR3 SDRAM at 1066MHz - 2 x 2048M -OS Genuine Windows® XP Media Center Edition 2005 – DirectX 9 Only! Includes AlienRespawn v1.0 Recovery Software(have to pay more for XP i don't want to mess with vista) -System Software 500GB SATA 3Gb/s 7,200RPM 16MB Cache Okay 1st off will this computer have some weird reason on why it won't work with the sims 2? And i was hoping this computer would last up to 4 years at least... Thanks everyone for your help... I just really don't want to buy a computer and it not work the way |

Why does it not run? It should work fine, assuming you have the latest version of Sims?

sims 2 recommended requirements: 2.0 GHz processor 256 MB RAM if Windows XP 128 MB RAM if Windows 98, Windows ME, or Windows 2000 At least 3.5 gigs of free hard drive space Nvidia geforce 4 or Ati Radeon 9800 or better the pc that your buying has a nice spec and will easily run this game ^^ also in case you're interested it will also run sims 3 with ease
